What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:
Supports standard design, maintenance, enhancement, testing implementation, and support of software. Provides support with the development of software test requirements for standard modules under development, may execute standard test specifications. Advises in providing estimates for standard modules under development and may estimate own work. Provides support in reviewing standard customers' standards specification and other documentation to determine software engineering requirements. Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of work. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others. Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and improving continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines that satisfy the need within the company.
  • Drive exploration of new best practices in continuous integration.
  • Develops automated release tools meant to allow for continuous build and release processes.
  • Reviews application requirements and anticipates system needs in order to ensure availability and scalability of systems.
  • Troubleshoots code and assists with the resolution of coding issues.
  • Coordinates release of new or revised software or systems and monitors performance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Develop scripts and automation to administer and deploy product

Required

0 to 7 years of professional experience
  • BS (or MS) in Computer Engineering
  • Software related intern, work, or hobby experiences (e.g., software development, IA, web development, etc.)
  • Linux and Windows Operating System experience
  • Interface Experience (Serial Interface and Protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, ect…) or Strong IP Interface knowledge (UDP, TCP))
  • Development language (C++, C, Java)

Preferred

  • Embedded Product Life cycle development
  • Scripting and other languages (e.g., Shell, Python, node, js, JavaScript, UML, AJAX, JSON, json-Id, XML, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Arborjs, Leaflet, and/or PERL)
  • Database tools and design (e.g., SQL, MongoDB, Docker)
  • Development tools and services (e.g., VSCode, MS Visual Studio, Eclipse)
  • Configuration Management tools (e.g., GitLab, Git)
  • Algorithm development
  • Basic understanding of Software Security
  • Open Source, cloud and virtualization software and services
